The serial number should be stamped on the left side of the slide, left side of the frame in front of the trigger, on the front of the barrel block, and a partial number on the locking block. "Probably" the safety problem is just a matter of replacing the hammer drop lever in the frame, but it could be something else. That would be a good price IF it's in all original condition with no re-blue.
